I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
